Founder’s story
Hospitality rising star turned home care specialist. Our founder combines the best of both worlds to set a new standard of excellence in home care.
From a young age, David was instilled with the value of helping others by his mother. David’s experiences with her and an elderly neighbor in need ignited his passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives. Embracing this passion, David pursued hospitality as a career, finding joy in bringing comfort and delight to those he served.
Upon his move to the United States, David discovered the role of a caregiver and recognized it as the most fulfilling job he had ever undertaken. To David, caregiving is more than just a profession; it’s a profound calling that he embraces wholeheartedly. The opportunity to create positive changes in people’s lives through our efforts at SF Home Care is both humbling and deeply rewarding.
Partner’s story
SF Home Care adds a new Partner — furthering the capacity to provide exceptional care.
Stone Skegrud brings a unique combination of clinical, academic, and business experience to SF Home Care. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master’s of Science degree. His academic work has included clinical research with multiple publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Stone brings many years of experience working in business development for a medical group and a robust background in volunteer service, including work at Marin General Hospital and the San Francisco Free Clinic.
His passion for senior care is deeply personal. Stone was fortunate to help care for and spend time with his grandmother as she peacefully aged in her own home. That experience shaped his belief in the importance of allowing seniors to remain in a familiar environment while receiving the high-quality, compassionate support they deserve.
At SF Home Care, Stone is committed to combining thoughtful management with a genuine dedication to improving the experience of aging for clients and their families throughout the Bay Area.
